One of the world’s foremost logistics providers needed assistance in designing a distribution center for a European consolidation project. The new distribution center would allow a European manufacturer to consolidate multiple distribution centers into one. The logistics provider asked Distribution Design to lead the design effort while the logistics provider’s engineering group provided support.
Distribution Design provided an analysis of the two leading operational plans for the new facility and identifed many improvements to reduce space requirements and capital costs while improving productivity. In addition, Distribution Design defined the operational processes and layout for a third design that was superior to the other two.
