On the average day, the non-profit organization ships about 3,000 cartons of printed materials and about 400,000 pieces of mail. Distribution Design completed an Operational Audit of the fulfillment center identifying many barriers to operational effectiveness. Specific recommendations included systems enhancements, more effective space utilization, improved inventory control processes, and others. In another assignment, Distribution Design defined the functional requirements and technologies needed for substantially increased processing volumes expected by the organization in the future.
